We booked the Ra II combination trip as a family and were in Cairo from December 24th, 2022 to January 7th, 2023, on a Nile cruise and swimming in the Red Sea. The booking and support from the Dahab Tours office was very pleasant. Many thanks especially to you, dear Ms. Dübel, for your patience with the questions and the many warm telephone calls. It was a wonderful trip to the Orient, everything was perfectly and professionally organized. We booked with Dahab Tours for the first time and were also in Egypt for the first time, so we weren’t familiar with the procedures there. Thanks to the fantastic staff on site, everything went very well, from picking us up in front of the visa counter at the airport in Cairo, through the excursions and transfers to the return journey. One of the friendly guides was always on hand, the visas for entry were already in place and just had to be paid for, so we had no problems entering the country. You can read the description of the trip in Michael K’s post, it was all very similar in terms of structure and the many sightseeing highlights. Our core tour group in Cairo consisted of 8 people; on the Nile cruise, the excursions were carried out in smaller or larger groups, sorted by language, depending on bookings. Maybe it’s because of the nature of the holiday that different people with similar interests come together on such trips, but we definitely had a great group. While we still had a slightly different program in Cairo, which Sherif was able to organize for us almost without a hitch in an effort to do justice to everyone, the real relaxation set in, especially after the transfer to Luxor and with the support of our wonderful guide Mina. Mina is not only admirably educated and not only has immense knowledge, which he can pass on clearly and entertainingly, and sustainably, but above all his warm-hearted and approachable nature, his friendliness, his professionalism and calmness even in difficult situations (such as a suitcase that was thought lost in another travel group) and his humor gave the trip a special touch. Although it would have been entirely possible to get tired from the quantity of cultural highlights, Mina always managed to make this trip wonderfully easy, interesting and overall simply beautiful. Mina also gave us extremely good advice regarding excursions and local conditions. Many thanks to you for all of this, Mina, without you it certainly wouldn’t have been the same wonderful trip. The return trip on the Nile from Aswan to Luxor was also particularly nice because the program was a little easier and there was more free time on deck. The ship’s staff of the Radamis II should also be highlighted, who worked tirelessly for us in the restaurant, at the bar, reception and in room service, always with a smile on their face and authentically friendly, and conjured up an unforgettable New Year’s Eve party and a wonderful New Year’s breakfast for us; We won’t soon forget this turn of the year. Thank you very much to everyone involved in the Dahab Tours team in Cologne, all the guides, especially Sherif, Ahmed and especially you, dear Mina, for a wonderful experience, we would be happy to come back.

We – four adults – visited Egypt during the Easter holidays. Above all the well-known sights, a short Nile cruise and at the end 2 days of the Red Sea. It was great all around. Particularly positive is the excellent organization by dahabtours, who organized this individually planned trip for us. We were in the best hands with our guides. We spent a week on the Nile and one on the Red Sea. We recommend. The staff and food on the Rademis (ship) were top! Thank you. Everything also worked very punctually and flawlessly. The only note: water/drinks must be purchased separately on the ship. The safe and refrigerator also worked. The bed was very uncomfortable for me but clean. Mina deserves special mention! He was great and told us everything about the temple complex in a competent and friendly manner. Abu Simbel is very worthwhile and was one of my highlights. The person in charge in Hurgada was also friendly, but was confused with our details and I didn’t feel like I was being taken very seriously. We booked our first excursions through him, but switched to booking ourselves. This is very easy in Hurgada and the communication and pick-up etc. worked at least as well or better than with the guide. Thank you for the interesting vacation, I can recommend dahabtours with a clear conscience.
