Do yourself a favour if you want to advertise your business and appear on maps – DO NOT USE YELP. Their sales agents are very aggressive and they will charge your credit card even after you have discontinued their services. It’s remarkable they have a Google listing when this company should have folded long ago for their unethical practices. How are these crooks even allowed to do business here in Canada is baffling.

My experience with this company was quite disappointing. Despite having $300 in free advertising credit, I only used CA$234.65 out of the total amount. However, to my surprise, my credit card was charged an additional CA$106.43. The lack of transparency regarding this extra charge raises concerns about their billing practices. Furthermore, I encountered significant difficulties with their technical support. Each time I reached out with a question, I had to endure a lengthy two-week wait for a response. Their lack of timely and effective communication was frustrating and unhelpful. In light of my experience, I strongly advise against using their advertising services. Additionally, I caution against providing them with your credit card information. Despite investing $450 per month in their ads (which included $300 of free credit), I did not receive a single client. It is disappointing that the advertising did not yield any results, resulting in a loss of both time and money. Given these factors, I urge potential customers to approach this company with caution. It is essential to thoroughly research and consider alternative options to ensure a positive and fruitful experience.

Beware of this scam. Fraudulent telemarketing and marketing practices. I have also called the support line multiple times too, they could not remove my business listing, they could not remove my personal information for privacy concerns, they cannot remove my credit card, they could not remove pre-authorization, they could not stop any payment, they did not have any authority at all, they could not assist with anything related with termination or stopping anything. This is one of the reasons this is fraudulent. With no way of cancelling stopping or communicating.

Yelp is a big tech scammer! I have a business on yelp and over the past 3 years I have been trying to get more reviews to increase my rating as my business is currently ranking 2.5 based on 4 suggested reviews. I have received 22 5 star reviews that are not showing and they are authentic client reviews. I did some research and found out that yelp will decrease your business score if you don’t market with them. So this big tech company is squeezing small local business to advertise or they will give them dad ratings. Yelp is an unethical company that should be banned in Canada.
