Wow a lot of 1 star reviews but I had a great experience with OMVIC. Professional, courteous and quick. I called in the morning, no waiting, someone took my call within 30 seconds. I had a question about a dealership where I was concerned they were not abiding by the rules. The OMVIC person assured me that I was in the right and that I should call back if I continued to experience issues and wanted to submit a formal complaint.

Sales manager Muhammad OZ refused to give back deposit from South Oakville Chrysler “pls call next Monday, oh i am looking into it i totally forgot pls text” but would not respond. Had to contact omvic for getting deposit back since i never signed a contract. Gurpreet kaur OMVIC support specialist was professional, answered my questions and contacted the dealership. Got deposit back after omvic escalation.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed in OMVIC . I have an issue with a very unethical used car dealership and I was directed to OMVIC to help me and instead after sending all the information to them and being told the dealership was in fact in the wrong according to section 50 and I had a case . Soon after I found out that even though I had a case and they were in breach of section 50 . They could still not force them to rescind my contract which I found completely insane. If they are the governing body and this company is in breach of a section how is it that the company can just walk away without repercussion . And the consumer has to just take the short end of the stick and go seek counsel is what I was told . So from what I can tell in all of this OMVIC is only there to help the dealerships and not the consumers , which is very misleading and unfair . So if you think they can help u with your dealership issues . Think again because it looks like they only work for the dealerships and what’s in their best interest. Very sad that this is allowed .

After seeing all the negative reviews and long phone wait, i decided to go in person to their location and honestly i left very satisfied. i spoke to may at receptionist and she was very enthusiastic about getting my issue resolved. i filled out a detailed form about my complaint and was met with Andrew. Even though they were closing, they both took their time to explain things throughly and answer questions. if you are having a negative experience over the phone, i suggest going in person if you can. Thank you for giving me the confidence and compassion to deal with this complaint edit: they weren’t really able to help me and directed me to seek legal advice
