Experiences

I couldn’t resist going back several times to my favorite Italian restaurant in West Island! They have a wide variety of dishes, and everything is delicious! You must try the calamari—it’s some of the best in Montreal! Crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Their pasta is amazing too, whether it’s with red sauce, white sauce, or pesto. I recommend adding some chili flakes for an extra kick. The lamb chops are a signature dish, perfectly seasoned and absolutely divine! If you’re in the mood for beef but find steaks too large, try the steak bavette—tender and juicy. The portions are generous, and I often end up taking leftovers home. If you’re ever in West Island, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant!

The restaurant is somewhat noisy so it is hard to chat with friends and family in the dining room. Regarding food, they are usually good in general. However, this time, the avocados had turned bad and tasted weird. Even the waiter replaced with another plate but they were still having the same issue. If the whole batch is like that, they should not even served them to customers. Ended up I did not eat the avocados to risk my health; in turn, the $17.5 x2 (We ordered two times the avocado dish from the “antipasta” menu) were a waste. There was no compensation or offer of replacing these appetizers with something else.

This place doesn’t need reviews. It is simply the place to go to when you feel like eating pasta. It is part of the West Island for many years now and it looks like it’s not going anywhere. Service & staff are amazing. Love the fact that the food comes out steamy hot and stays hot for a very long time. Kids menu is also available if your child is 10yrs old and under. Easy & free access to parking. Bon Appetito!

Had an amazing experience! Loved the warm fresh bread with dipping oil to start the meal. Ordered meatballs for an appetizer, they were so tender & the red sauce was out of this world. Pasta dishes were delicious, ordered dessert to go and was not disappointed. Great ambiance and authentic! Will definitely return here when in Montreal!

Scarolies is our favourite Italian restaurant in Montreal. We’ve celebrated special occasions here or just shared wonderful meals with our families for the last 15+ years. The pasta is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, especially the table d’hôte. We also really enjoy the fresh baguette. Of all the dishes I’ve tried, my favourite dish is the Linguini with Giant Shrimps in a Brandy Rosé sauce and when I’m in the mood for something a bit spicy, I really like the Capelli di Angelo alla Diablo dish. Thank you Scarolies for serving us such delicious food over the years.
