Nicheliving Orelia we signed up Nov 2020 It’s been 3yrs 6months since signing up with Nicheliving in Orelia to build our family home. Like many others, nothing new to add. No progress. So here’s a photo from today (May 2024) in the rain. Window was smashed last year… roof stage not finished yet. I view our unfinished home daily and have not seen any workers on our property. No emails of updates from Nicheliving. Every email I sent previously asking for updates, response was the liaison would check with the supervisor- and when they got an update they would let us know. But we got nothing. This reply has been the same email response every time we ask. We have two mortgages. Two lots of rates and all the other bills adding up. Nothing to show for it aside from this photo. I regret signing up. We’re stuck with an unfinished home for who knows how long until it is finished (if it does get completed)… UPDATE 14/06/2024 How long does it take to get an email response from your builder (with a real answer)??? – 16+ emails back and forth since January following up our building inspection. we sent Nicheliving the 20+ page report but it’s not fixed yet and no email confirming any work done! – i left a google review two weeks ago listing our experience. I’d have given 0 stars if I could… – Nicheliving left a response on my google review a week later, requesting i contact their customer service. Funny, their customer service email is the same one I’ve been emailing since signing up November 2020. They haven’t been addressing our concerns. No reply (and no action) is evidence of this. #imbetteroffwithoutnicheliving

As a tenant renting under Niche Living, Jay Stagg has been the most phenomonal property manager. Her professionalism in always keeping me up to date with any changes with my apartment, her quick response when I have maintenance issues and just her general friendly, caring and warm demeanour has made renting for me such a breeze. Jay has gone above and beyond as a Property Manager. Has been an absolute pleasure having her as my PM and could not recommend her highly enough. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me Jay, I appreciate it so much and will miss having you as my Property Manager, you’re truly the best! My apartment was unfortunately sold meaning I have to vacate the premises soon and Elle Clark has been dealing with the sale of the property. She did not have to deal with me at all really seeing as its not her job role, but Elle has gone above for me. Elle has always picked up any call and answered any questions, even when I have been very anxious and called on a Saturday after hours- Elle still picked up my call and talked to me until I was calm and reassured. Not only that Elle has put me in touch with other property managers who might have available rentals and emailed anyone she might know who may have a suitable rental for me. Elle didn’t need to do any of that as her job role is Sales, but that speaks to the type of caring person she is. Thank you Elle, you are just such a legend! DO NOT BUILD WITH NICHE! Myself and my husband built in Tapping. We were one of the lucky ones who actually got their house finished. The house was terrible quality. Everything was falling apart within months of living in it. Towel rails falling off walls, second storey cracking along the joins, dodgy air con and so much other things wrong. We sold off the house as soon as we could. My brother is currently building in same estate. Signed the build contract 3 years ago and no where near finished. Has been in lock up for 6 months with absolutely no progress and no finish date in sight. Niche are full of excuses. Quality of build is absolute rubbish. Absolute worst company to build with. Do yourself a favour and look up reviews and news reports before thinking of building with them..

We signed contract in November 2020 for a two story 3×2 town house in Orelia (Stage 1). Promised a 16 week build time and double the home owners grant (extra 20k, TV promotion) by the sales rep only find out post settlement that the bonus did not apply to our exact house in the development. 2 years later not only do we not have the 20k bonus, but we have very little progress to show for it. Slab down and 1st story bricks layed and no progress reports since June 2022. Staff have all left many times over as i’m sure they are not in a nice position of recieving customer complaints daily. Give Niche Living a skip as there is virtually no progress in the entire Orelia development site this year. 2024 – we commissioned a building report in January that was 23 pages long highlighting countless construction defects. As of July 2024, Niche have failed to properly resolve the faults in construction.
