I used to like Transavia and have flown with them very frequently. Today at Orly it was an absolute disaster. They made every single passenger put their luggage into measuring device. The flight was already delayed…but while it’s fine for Transavia to make errors like being late, us passengers are treated like dirt in this completely one sided agreement. I saw a chap who had the smallest cabin bag I think I’ve ever seen but for some reason it did not fit in the measuring device properly because of one small piece sticking out a little. He was forced to pay €65! Pure greed. Airlines who treat passengers like this do not deserve to be in business. I know I will never fly with them again and if more people read this maybe they too might pick another airline, one that treats their passengers with respect. Is there any way of guaranteeing the device used to measure cabin bags at the airport gate is in fact made to the correct specifications? My wife’s bag is a purposely designed cabin bag and has the exact dimensions but it too would not fit in the measuring device. Smells like a scam to me. Avoid this greedy airline if possible.

This was my first time in 20years of traveling I’ve had an issue at the airport worse is this is my first time of flying with this company, I wonder how they employ people… The one star I added was to write my comment, this company deserves to be closed down, the staff are terrible!!!!!!!!!! They want to get money from you and when u speak up they bully you and go as far as delaying you so you are not able to drop your bags.. and like they won’t allow you fly even after u have checked in .. they are HORRIBLE… all of them! This man in the picture is a mad man in clothes, he is racist and extremely horrible. Never ever again

Do anything you possibly can to avoid flying Transavia. Anything. They pretend they’re boarding only to herd all passengers onto a sweaty, claustrophobic ‘holding pen’ on the jetway so they can create the illusion of being on time, even though timeliness is the very last quality one should associate with this so-called airline. Next time I need to get from France to Italy, instead of Transavia I’ll gladly hitchhike.

I had my flight from Paris-Orly to Ibiza on Friday, May 10, which took off at 5:50 p.m., and then the delay for 6:55 p.m. appeared on the screen. I arrived at the airport at 4:00 p.m. and as a result of the delay, I stayed outside having lunch and went to check in my luggage at 5:00 p.m., and they didn’t let me check-in it because “the luggage is delivered up to 1 hour before the initial departure time” they argued to me… Here I see 2 problems: 1.- Is it the initial departure announced, or is it the official departure of the flight? It is not specified on the website. Departure is departure, the official time of departure of the plane; “prearranged departure” is one thing, “official departure due to delay” is another thing. 2.- In the questions and answers section of the Transavia website it is clear that baggage entry is up to 40 minutes before the flight, and I was refused 50 minutes before the initial flight, and +90 minutes before the official flight. On the airport security cameras you can see the time at which I was trying to check-in the luggage. In both cases, my refusal to check-in was out of the norm, it was unfair, and I was made to incur the expense of €126 for a flight the next day, in addition to paying the boarding fees for the initial flight that I did not take place… , and missing the activities in destinations, in addition to the expenses of staying in Paris for 1 extra night. “You can talk with the call center” (that’s really expensive to call them), “send your claim to this email”….. Really bad costumer service, very bad personal working on it, very serious and not happy persons. A really bad company.

Flew from Chania to Orly, the staff made the best of our 30 min delay by allocating the empty exit row seats to other passengers (Wizz and other airlines will leave them empty). The plane looked brand new, with comfy seats, we weren’t bothered about our bags at all, there was usb-c charging on every seat. Being herded into a horrible waiting area doesn’t happen if you’re the last person getting your ticket scanned at the gate. And while the bus to the plane in Greece really needed AC (can’t imagine it in August), I think that’s a complaint for the airport, not the airline. Really a fine experience for a discount airline.
