Experiences
Glassdoor’s practices merit scrutiny. They engage in a practice of selectively obscuring negative reviews from their paying clientele, a measure that raises questions about transparency and impartiality. This action is undertaken without requisite substantiation or corroboration. Furthermore, there is a concerning pattern of permitting inflated ratings, potentially driven by fabricated or manipulated feedback, to bolster the standing of their client companies. This warrants a careful examination of the integrity and accountability within Glassdoor’s operational framework

Totally agree with the previous comments! My experience: I posted a review about my company from my personal account, and then I saw there was an opportunity to create an employer’s account since I myself work in HR. I have discussed this within the company and went ahead with it. I had to register with my company email and it basically forced me to write a review again (otherwise it did not let me continue). Then Glassdoor removed both my reviews saying I violated their policy because I posted 2x trying to manipulate review scores. Wow! Even after I wanted to repost only one of the 2 reviews they claimed violation. In addition, for the short time my review was published, I saw it was showing my location and position openly. I work for a small company, I am the only person in that role and the location just made it even worse. How is this the anonymity they claim to ensure? That should mean the reviewer cannot be traced back.

Reviews can be bought and replaced. I’ve seen companies rattings little above 2 points going up to almost 4 points in less than 1 week before being bought by a big investor. I used to rely on Glassdoor reviews but now I don’t. They are totally manipulated.

This company is a scam. My employer mysteriously had mostly horrible reviews and they all got taken down and now only positive ones show? This is disguised as a resource for employees to evaluate the work place and culture of prospective employers, but in reality is an ad platform for employers who systematically curate only positive content. It seems wrong to trick your audience like this.

I suspect this company to delete some comments in collusion with some companies. I received an email inviting me to change a comment but I was never able to do it even though I was still under one month. Eventually, my comment was deleted. (Example here with DXC technology)
