Fantastic service! needed to change(upgrade) my plan to allow for internal prosthesis(which I wasn’t covered for) for an upcoming shoulder operation, I had 0 hope that my new plan would be approved before my operation on the 19th of March and I in fact called my doctor to postpone my operation, however the team at Bonitas was able to change my plan(within 24 hours) and back date my benefits(no waiting period) to allow me to go for my operation as scheduled, truly shows that they care about their members.

I had a authorisation for a placement of a stent in my kidney but when I had to go in to remove it they didn’t authorise it. Absolutely terrible to get autorisation even if you email them a week prior to procedure . Pathetic service and they are closed on weekends you can’t get a authorisation number

Absolutely disgusting service. I am still awaiting a response to a complaint I sent forth on 01 JUNE 2022. We were promised certain cover, and yet Bonitas has still not honored those promises. Absolutely poor product knowledge from your agents. Please do your homework before signing up with Bonitas – they will find a way to bulldoze you.

Trash medical aid. Wife had to have an emergency C Section and they don’t want to pay for the paediatrician because it wasn’t pre-authorized. Sorry for not calling you from the theatre, definitely moving away from this trash medical aid. Always a catch, I’m paying over R8k/mo for 3 people and can’t cover something as basic as a consult. Anything not to pay neh.

We send a week ago a quote plus motivation letter which was Thursday.We called in on Monday no its by the board … Bonitas says they will come back … We need more info… we give call in morning Guess what still not approved and saying more ongo .Because of an ICD… well now we get told dont phone waiting for letter. or email Operation to happen on Wednesday i gues no Operation
