Experiences
This was our 4th and 5th European river cruises with Travelmarvel. Did 15 days Springtime in the Netherlands and Belgium then back to back 8 day Reflections of the Rhine to Nuremberg from Amsterdam. Both cruises were wonderful with Tour Directors always there to help if needed. Arthur the hotel manager for both cruises was very friendly and obliging. Bedroom staff were always working doing a great job. Bar staff were kept busy as were the food waiters. Food was fabulous and plentiful. Day excursions were ok, but saw enough of churches and cathedrals. Bad weather did dampen a few days but that is no fault of Travelmarvel. Overall we enjoyed our 2 cruises. Would travel with Travelmarvel again even after 5 cruises and 1 coach and rail tour of NZ. Love you Travelmarvel 💚

The trip round trip from cairns was well done. We were looked after by Noel extremely well. The pub at Einasleigh was well worth the visit. Loved Karumba , Normanton and especially enjoyed the helicopter flight over Cobbold Gorge and then the boat ride down the gorge. Absolutely spectacular. Thanks for a great 8 day tour.

The Savanah trip was really good. The driver, guide, Noel was a good driver and had a lot of knowledge of the area. Food and accommodation were great. This was my third trip with you. That says a lot about your tours. I will be back!

TRAVELMARVEL RIVER CRUISE – 4.8 Stars We have just returned from the Cambodia – Vietnam – Mekong River Cruise 13 to 25 Jan 2024. It was a fabulous tour with many included and optional excursions, starting from Siem Reap in Cambodia and ending in Ho Chi Minh City, with a number of stops on the way to explore the history and culture of the two countries. The highlights for us were the Angkor Wat temple (Wonder of the World), the visits to many villages & towns along the river, the stories on the civil wars of the Khmer Rouge, the Cu Chi tunnels and the Viet Cong in recent history, beautiful scenery, and the food & entertainment on the ship RV Amalotus (Apsara) itself. Special mention must be made of the calm & diligent Cruise Director – Luc Ngo who worked tirelessly to keep all guests well informed with upcoming events & excursions every morning, noon & night of the cruise. Also, Johnny Martinez, the F&B/Entertainment manager on board who added a lot of fun to our trip with music, dancing, and cultural events. Maria in charge of the restaurant & her crew were exceptional. Thank you. Matters to be aware of: Not drinking river water used in bathrooms / shower etc. as many filtered water stations are on board and in hotel accommodation. Not too many mosquitos on the nature excursions although we were warned of it. The number of steps to climb at historical sights/temples etc. Selecting your optional excursions carefully, so one has a good blend of rest, travel & entertainment, navigating the traffic if you are walking on your own in towns & capital cities. Just completed the 21 day Reflections of the Rockies and Alaska cruise 2023 and it surpassed our expectations. The company had good communication with the booking and the tour guides were full of information on our locations and kept you up to date with excursion options to get the best experience for a trip of a lifetime. It was a bucket list location for all of our fellow travellers and the 21 day tour did not disappoint. We were lucky to have amazing weather which made the scenery spectacular and brought out the wildlife. Deserve the 5 star rating as could not fault our trip.
