Experiences

Firstly may I start by saying the holiday we booked through Travelzoo to South Africa and Egypt was excellent. It is a shame the same cannot be said for your book agent -ANZ TRAVEL, also known I believe as MY TRAVEL EXPERIENCE. The difficulties we had during the 7 month lead time prior to our departure are too numerous to mention in one review. Of most significance however, is that due to an itinerary change they advised us that we were due a refund of more than a thousand dollars. When we requested this , they consistently delayed processing the refund and now they won’t return any of our communications. Very shonky. I would not recommend this agent..

It must be two years since we took advantage of an excellent Travelzoo Special to book 7 nights at the Maya Sanur Resort and 3 nights at the Maya Ubud Resort in Bali. Unfortunately, we needed to postpone our booking twice due to Covid restrictions. The Reservations Manager for Maya was obliging, allowing the changes whilst maintaining the excellent price. We finally made our visit in Nov 22 and were blown away by how good these hotels are. In each case we upgraded to pool villas. The hotels are utterly palatial in all their tropical splendor, and the service was truly first class. We had the time of our lives! I doubt we could have afforded to pay the normal rates, so I can safely say that Travelzoo facilitated one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. We’ve had other Travelzoo deals, which were great, but this one was the absolute best. We will continue to monitor Travelzoo’s special deals with renewed attention and enthusiasm. Thank you Travelzoo.
