Experiences

All staff from the moment you walk in treat you like a guest and not just another “table number” that rushes you through the two hour seating. Quite a lively vibe but with a calming ambience. If you like watching behind the scenes food prep, highly recommend booking to sit at one of the bar counters otherwise table seating is very comfortable and relaxed. The food (most importantly) is ultimately very fresh, light, clean and are a delicious blend of flavours that leaves you craving to come back. Portions are adequate and the quality definitely equals the price point. Menu changes slightly on a seasonal basis – and it never disappoints!!

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and our expectations were exceeded. We love Japanese cuisine and really enjoyed the quality and flavours of the fish and meat. The cocktails were also well balanced and delicious. The wait staff were very nice and attentive. Definitely recommend coming here.

I came here for my anniversary and wasn’t sure what to expect. We were kindly greeted by a gentlemen in a suit who politely guided us upstairs to our table and straight away were impressed by the atmosphere and decor. Waitstaff were polite, elegant and informative whenever we had any questions and made both my girlfriend and I feel special. Now I am a huge fan on Japanese cuisine, and in Melbourne there is quite the variety, but this felt like a very different level. We had the 5 course premium menu and every course that came out left us wanting more. Exceptionally balanced and the perfect quantity by the end of the meal. For dessert they bought out a chocolate mousse paired with a chocolate disc with “happy anniversary” written on it, which my girlfriend and I were very impressed with. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience at Kisumé and would go back. It is expensive, however for the quality and creativity of the food/drinks along with the service and atmosphere I’d happily pay a little bit more. Worth the tip!

Unbelievable gastronomy at the chef’s table. Highly recommend this! Every dish was just so unique, created with careful curation and they all tasted wonderful. You’re really taken on an amazing journey throughout the night. Without a doubt, book right away. I highly recommend it!

It doesn’t disappoint the food is high quality and taste amazing. Went for lunch and get the set menu. All the cocktails are fantastic, all staff member is friendly and giving the best service. One down side it took very long for the meals to come. They apologies for the delay but it was a drag.
